Lisa Cummins has returned to the Westwood City Council, replacing Sarah Page.
Page, who was elected in 2014, resigned because of a move to Lawrence. The unexpired term runs until 2018.
Cummins was nominated and confirmed to fill the seat last month. She had previously served on the council after being appointed to the unexpired term of Jace McClasky in 2013. A temporary move out of Westwood for several months caused her to give up that seat.
Cummins is a Johnson County native and the mother of two grown children. She has worked for more than 30 years for Midwest Transplant Network which has had its corporate offices in Westwood for 22 years. She serves as the Quality Improvement Specialist for the company.
She has served on the 47th and Mission Road Overlay District committee, the Westwood Foundation and has been a volunteer block captain.
