I’m not sure if it’s all the partying from the Royals win, the cooler weather, or just your standard entry into cold and flu season, but it seems like everyone I know is getting sick. My husband, who is one of the healthiest people on the planet, has come down with a major bummer of a bug that he can’t seem to shake. My brother was sick for so long he started becoming seriously depressed. And of course the kids’ noses have started their traditional fall/winter run…
Luckily, I have been looking for an excuse to make my favorite chicken soup – one that every Minnesotan grows up on. That’s right, Wild Rice Chicken Soup. You will see it on every menu in Northern Minnesota, and for good reason – it’s delicious, filling, and nutritious. This one, made in a crock pot, is laughably easy and wonderfully comforting.

Stay well, my friends!
