Prairie Village native Gracie Schram, Oleta Adams featured performers in Shawnee Mission Health Celebration of Thanksgiving concert


Northeast Johnson County residents will have the chance to hear one of their own featured at the center of an annual tradition next month.

Prairie Village native Gracie Schram will be the opening performer in Shawnee Mission Health’s Celebration of Thanksgiving concert this Nov. 21 at Yardley Hall on the campus of Johnson County Community College. Just 17, Schram has quickly made a name for herself in the singer-songwriter community, making a splash in the Nashville music scene.

The showcase act for the concert will be Kansas City native Oleta Adams, a force in soul and R&B music for more than two decades.

Admission to the event will be free, but attendees must obtain tickets in advance via this website or by calling the box office at at 913-469-4445. Seating will be on a first come, first served basis with doors opening at 3 p.m.

Shawnee Mission Health’s Celebration of Thanksgiving is an annual event that marks the start of the holiday season.
