The bridge is back. A small neighborhood bridge that crosses Rock Creek near Fairway’s Brookridge Drive has been repaired by the neighborhood.

The wooden bridge sits at the rear of an open lot where a house was removed from the flood plain several years ago. The city still owns and maintains the lot, but the neighborhood takes care of the bridge and an adjoining garden.

The bridge was damaged by the flooding creek in June after about three inches of rain fell in less than three hours.

When flood waters receded in June, they left the bridge damaged.
