Renovation Sensation benefitting SHARE is today. The 11th annual Renovation Sensation homes tour benefitting SM East’s SHARE program is today. The five houses on this year’s tour will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets can still be purchased today at any of the open house locations for $30. More information is available here.

Lancer girls win SM East, SM South Invitational golf tourneys. SM East’s girls golf team put in an excellent performance as they hosted Monday’s SM East Invitational tournament at Kansas City Country Club, and didn’t let up Tuesday at the SM South Invitational at Deer Creek. The Lancers took first place among the field of 11 teams Monday, shooting 351. Washburn Rural finished second with 368. SM North finished 11th place. The Lancers’ Teagan Noblit and Marti Fromm tied at 82 strokes, with Noblit winning a tie breaker to take third in the individual standings. Teammates Marti Fromm, Julia Stopperan and Jessica Parker all finished among the top ten as well. On Tuesday, it was Haley Bell who led the Lancers, taking first place in the individual standings by beating teammate Parker in a tie-breaker. Noblit and Fromm finished among the top ten. SM East took first place in team standings with 349 strokes.

SM East soccer beats SM South. The Lancers extended their record to 4-1 on the year with a 3 to 1 victory over rival SM South on Tuesday. The Lancers have a week off before taking on SM Northwest next Tuesday.

Lancers volleyball team knocks off #2 ranked Olathe East. SM East remained unbeaten on the year with an impressive victory over Olathe East on Tuesday, beating the second ranked Olathe East squad in two sets as part of a triangular with SM West. The Lancers next take the court on Thursday, Sept. 24, with a triangular against Leavenworth and Olathe South.

Shawnee Indian Mission Fall Festival seeking arts and crafts vendors. The committee putting together the Shawnee Indian Mission Fall Festival is looking for more arts and crafts vendors to take part in this year’s event. The festival will be Oct. 10 and 11 and will feature historical re-enactors, live music and children’s games in addition to arts and crafts vendors. Prairie Village extends application deadline for Teen Council until Sept. 30. Prairie Village announced this week that it was extending its deadline for the second class of its Teen Council program by a month. The initial deadline had been Aug. 31, but applications will now be accepted through Sept. 30 at 5 p.m. More information is available here.
