Bundt_CakeNothing Bundt Cakes coming to Mission. A new franchise of the Nothing Bundt Cakes bakeries is coming to Mission. The new store will be at 6850 Johnson Drive in the former Quizno’s property behind Applebee’s. The store has received permits from the city. An opening date is not listed yet on the company website, but it does acknowledge a Mission store is coming soon. The nearest store currently is at 13420 Metcalf.

DUI saturation patrol in Mission. The Mission Police Department will conduct a DUI saturation patrol tonight from 10:45 p.m. to 3 a.m. Saturday. The focus is to deter and apprehend impaired drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Patrol vehicles will be marked with a “DUI Task Force” magnet on the door.

Kansas Lottery commercial filmed in Mission.  If you were on Johnson Drive Thursday you might have spotted a film crew working on the street. We are told that the crew was filming a commercial for the Kansas Lottery. The crew was at Town Topic and then at the closed Conoco station. The actor in what appeared to be a chicken suit might have been the tipoff. No word on when it will appear.
