Tower Cleaners sells to Pride, will change store name at Village Shops, Fairway

Tower_Dry Changes are coming to the dry cleaning storefronts at the Village Shops and Fairway Shops. Tower Cleaners, which operated the location for years, closed the sale of its businesses to Pride Cleaners on August 1.

“Larry and Dale, the previous owners, retired and contacted Pride Cleaners so their stores and plant could continue to operate with the current employees,” said Pride District Manager Shannon Folk. “All employees will be welcome to stay, in fact encouraged, and we will be updating equipment at the plant and hiring more employees for them.”

Folk said the company will change the signage at the stores by October. Store hours will stay the same at present, but Folk anticipates the company will be extending hours at the locations to 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Pride already had a Prairie Village location in the Johnny’s Block development at 7910 State Line Road. Pride is owned by Dominic Brancato, who also owns Excell Linen.
