Woodside project heading up. The Woodside Village project which is under construction at the intersection of Rainbow and 47th Place has taken another vertical step. Framing has begun for the three stories of apartments that will top the retail components on the first floor. The first phase of the project is on the northeast corner of the intersection. Another retail and residential component will be built on the southeast corner in a later phase.

Briarwood principal’s rise from custodian recounted. Briarwood principal Chris Lash once worked as a custodian in the school district where he is now a principal. Johnson County League of Women Voters to host preview party. The Johnson County League of Women Voters will host a party Thursday, Aug. 20 at 6:30 p.m. at the Matt Ross Community Center to preview is activities for the 2016 election cycle, and to provide sign up for various committees.
