The Roasterie coffee shop that opened inside the Corinth Hen House after the substantial renovations to that store two years ago will be shutting down to reopen as a Starbucks.
A sign on the front of the counter informed customers this week that Sunday will be the store’s final day operating as a Roasterie location.
(“Why are you closing?” one customer asked Thursday afternoon. “We don’t make enough money,” replied the barista.)
Interestingly, Starbucks declined to confirm that they were coming to the Corinth store: “We are not able to confirm that Starbucks will be replacing the in-store coffee shop at the Corinth Square Hen House Supermarket,” wrote a member of the PR staff. “I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.”
