A perfect July morning – as opposed to the oppressively hot days of recent years past — served as the backdrop for the 19th annual VillagFest Fourth of July festivities in Prairie Village.

The morning started with a patriotic ceremony and pancake breakfast, where the griddle masters from Chris Cakes flipped up some fun to kick things off:
