Spotted around town: Velvet antlered deer and a prairie falcon that likes soccer

Breaking wildlife news! Reader Mary Cheney spotted and snapped a picture of these three velvet antlered deer milling about the neighborhood a block west of Mission Road at 99th Street this weekend:


And we managed to snap a shot of what I believe to be a prairie falcon that was making quite a lot of noise up in the branches of a tree at the edges of the soccer field where SM East and SM West played in last week’s regional finals:
