Merriam’s annual Turkey Creek Festival escaped with only a spot of rain Saturday, nothing like what came later that night, and enjoyed a steady stream of festival-goers.
With a large inflatable section, a petting zoo, lots of Kid Zone activities and plenty of food choices, it was a perfect place for the kids Saturday. But a large arts and crafts section and music stage also drew the adults. The fire and police departments also had exhibits that were magnets for the younger set.
It also was a chance for lots of folks to roam Antioch Park on a perfect afternoon.
