Bollier among 24 women nationwide honored by Governing Institute. Mission Hills Rep. Barbara Bollier is among two dozen women from across the nation honored as members of the Governing Institute’s Women in Government Leadership Program Class of 2015. Leawood talking about tree loss. The City of Leawood is concerned about tree loss and will continue its discussion on how it might be addressed. The causes concerning Leawood go beyond just Emerald Ash Borer. The northern part of Leawood is estimated at having just over 50 percent tree coverage. Village Crawfish Festival set for Saturday. The annual Village Crawfish Festival this year will raise money for reStart, the non-profit that helps the homeless. The festival features fresh crawfish flown up from Louisiana. This year’s even will be held at St. Pius X Church in Mission.

Mission to hold budget session. The Mission City Council will hold a budget work session Wednesday beginning at 6 p.m. at city hall.
