Roeland Park council divided over consent agenda.  The city council split 4-4 on a motion to remove a number of items from the consent agenda Monday night with Mayor Joel Marquardt breaking the tie in favor of keeping the consent agenda intact. Councilor Michael Rhoades asked for four items to be removed, saying he intended to vote for them but thought they should be voted on separately. Each item had been discussed in the committee of the whole. An attempt to remove consent agenda items at a previous meeting by Ryan Kellerman died for lack of a second.
