Kansas legislature recognizes SM East football team for state title. Coaches and players from SM East’s state champion football team were in Topeka Monday where Fairway Rep. Melissa Rooker had the honor of reading a resolution honoring the team for its 6A title, the first in school history.

Roeland Park to hold seed swap Saturday. The first annual Roeland Park Seed Swap will be help on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Roeland Park Community Center in the gazebo on the southwest corner of the property, Participants can bring vegetable, herb or flower seeds to swap and share with neighbors. All seeds are free and are first come, first served.
