The Lancer lacrosse program will be led by some new faces for the 2015 season.

After the departure of Chris Kliewer, who led the Lancers to three championships in four years with the team, at the end of last season, the parent board that oversees the program announced assistant coach Will Garrett would be stepping into the head coach role. Varsity assistants Brenden Surface and Dan Connelly will return to the program in 2015.

This week, the program announced that SM East head football coach Dustin Delaney would serve as an assistant varsity coach as well, focusing on training and conditioning.

William Bolen, a former standout player at Pembroke Hill, and Adam Ligon, a Hickman High graduate, will coach the junior varsity team.

Former Rockhurst High School players Jimmy Goetz and Jon Lecuyer will coach the freshman teams

The Lancers will open their 2015 season March 12 against Lee’s Summit North.
