Hard as it may be to believe looking out the window today, spring is right around the corner. Really, I promise.
And with spring comes an annual Prairie Village tradition: The Earth Fair.
Set for Saturday, March 28 in this, its 14th year, the event brings together dozens of exhibitors showing off earth-friendly technology, gardening and crafts. This year’s fair theme will be “(en)lighten your footprint…because the Earth matters,” and will feature a number of presentations with information about immediate actions attendees could take to reduce their impact on the planet.
In addition to the exhibitors, the event will once again include a used book sale put on by SM East students, with proceeds benefiting the school’s library. (If you’d like to make a book donation, contact Kathi Knopp at 913-993-6617). A garage sale benefiting the school’s SHARE program will be part of the mix as well.
Finally, Revolve Community Bike Shops will be on had to collect used bikes of all ages that will be rehabilitated and put back into use in the community.
