Westwood man in jail after being charged with 2nd degree murder

Andrew_Farish_WestwoodA Westwood man remains in jail this morning after being arrested Saturday on charges of second degree murder from a Friday killing in the Rosedale neighborhood of Kansas City, Kan.

Around 4 a.m. Friday morning, Kansas City, Kan., police responded to a call in the 2400 block of W. 42nd Ave where they found Gerardo Jimenez dead from multiple gunshot wounds inside a home. Wyandotte County Judge William Mahoney issued a warrant for the arrest of Andrew M. Farish, age 25.

He was apprehended Saturday and charged with a single count of second degree murder and a single count of criminal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Farish was convicted of felony robbery in 2008.

He is being held on $1,000,000 bond.
