SM East’s class of 2015 has the chance to leave a lasting mark on the school — and help support the East Fund in the process.

For the second year in a row, the East Fund is organizing the installation of a Lancer Legacy tile wall. This year’s seniors can order a 6” by 6” ceramic tile with their name on it that can also include icons representing the student’s activities. The tiles will then be installed on a wall outside the gymnasium and near the theatre.

East Fund development chair Lisa Kuhnke said the project was designed as a way to help the seniors create a lasting legacy at the school while also supporting the East Fund, which helps finance classroom programs, technology purchases and professional development opportunities at the school.

Because of limited wall space, the opportunity will only be available to four classes — so this year’s class and the following two classes will be the final groups with class tile walls.

The tile that will be arranged as part of the Lancer Legacy wall costs $35. Families can order an additional tile for $25 that they can keep or give as a gift.

Orders must be received by March 6. You can download the order form here.
