Tutera requests Prairie Village council push back Mission Chateau start-of-construction extension consideration

The attorney representing the Tutera Group as it looks for an extension on the deadline to start construction of the Mission Chateau senior living community on Monday requested that the Prairie Village city council continue two items approved by the Planning Commission to the Jan. 5 council meeting.

The council had been set to take up both the final plat and the deadline extension request at Monday’s council meeting after the Planning Commission recommended approval for both at its Dec. 2 meeting.

But on Monday, attorney Timothy Sear told the council that Tutera wanted to “have additional meetings with stakeholders” about the project and that it was possible there could be changes to the plat plans presented to the Planning Commission. He requested the continuance of both items to the City Council’s first meeting in January. The Prairie Village council voted unanimously to continue the items.
