Pepperjax Grill is latest restaurant tenant announced for Mission’s Cornerstone Commons project

Pepperjax Grill specializes in a Philly sandwhich.
Pepperjax Grill has a Philly sandwich as one of its specialties.

Pepperjax Grill will be among the restaurants at the new Cornerstone Commons development which is under way along Mission’s Johnson Drive at Barkley Street, west of the downtown area.

The anchor for the development is a Natural Grocers store which will occupy one of the three buildings on the site. Natural Grocers will front along Johnson Drive as will one of two restaurant buildings. The second building will sit farther to the south on the property and that is where Pepperjax will be located, according to information from the city.

Two other restaurant tenants were previously announced for the development: Pie Five Pizza and Potbelly Sandwich Shop. The former Keystone auto buildings that sat on the property already have been demolished and vertical construction is expected to start soon.

The Cornerstone Commons project was originally proposed in the summer of 2013, but was then revised and came back to the city getting planning commission approval in June 2014 for the new building plan.
