Roeland Park police reported Saturday morning that an overnight burglary at the Roeland Park Walgreens store netted the store’s ATM machine.
According to police, the thieves pried a door open and dragged the ATM machine out the door with the use of a large chain. The ATM was loaded into a white van and hauled away. The burglary occurred sometime between midnight and 4 a.m. The entry was discovered by a newspaper delivery person who called police. It was not immediately known if the alarm system was active or working.
Police have video of the burglary, but Roeland Park Police Chief John Morris asked that anyone with information about the incident to call the police department or the TIPS hotline.
