Wes-CrenshawWes Crenshaw talk at SM East reset for Tuesday. The presentation well-known local family therapist Wes Crenshaw had been set to make to the SM East PTA in October has been rescheduled for Tuesday. Crenshaw’s initial presentation was postponed on account of the Royals World Series run. He will deliver a talk entitled “Earning vs. Entitlement: How parents can teach teens economic life lessons” at 6:30 p.m. in the SM East library.

Mission Citizens Academy class graduates. This year’s police citizen academy held its graduation last week after attending its multi-week training class on police procedure. Members of the academy class will be recognized at the city council meeting Wednesday night.

Westwood police hold public forum. The Westwood Police Department this fall held a public forum for residents of Westwood, Westwood Hills and Mission Woods. After an overview of the department, the group discussed crime trends, scams and prevention ideas, including against burglary and auto theft. Other topics included conversations to have with teens on drug use and sexting.
