Prairie Village welcomes two new city administration staffers

Over the past month, Prairie Village has welcomed two new staff members to the city administration department.

Meghan Buum is the city’s new public information officer and deputy city clerk. She takes the place of Jeanne Koontz, who left her job with Prairie Village to become the city clerk in Gardner. Prior to joining Prairie Village, Buum was the marketing and events manager for The City Market in Kansas City, Mo. She had also spent five years as the communications coordinator for the Downtown Council of Kansas City. Buum is a graduate of Kansas State University.

Nolan Sunderman recently joined the city as assistant to the city administrator, taking the place of Danielle Dulin, who accepted a job with the city of Lenexa. Sunderman spent the previous seven years with the Lansing Convention and Visitors’ Bureau as economic development director. A native of the Springfield, Mo., area, he received his bachelor’s and master of public administration degrees from Missouri State University.
