SM East announced this afternoon that the annual bonfire and pep rally scheduled for tonight has been indefinitely postponed on account of expected rain. The current forecast calls for a 70 percent chance of showers at 7 p.m., when the bonfire was supposed to start.
SM East principal John McKinney said organizers would try to find a time to reschedule the event, probably in November.
Last week, rain led to the cancelation of the annual SM North Homecoming Parade down Johnson Drive.
