NEJC Chamber nominees for 2014 Business Awards named

Several local businesses have been nominated for the annual Business Awards presented each year by the Northeast Johnson County Chamber of Commerce. The winners will be honored at the Chamber’s annual gala in November.

The businesses and volunteers are nominated and voted upon by fellow Chamber members in four categories. The Business Awards recognize businesses and volunteers who have made an outstanding impact on the community and the Chamber.

The 2014 nominees are:

Corporate Business of the Year: BRGR, KCP&L, Mainstreet Credit Union, Sharon Lane Health Services, Shawnee Mission Health, and Shawnee Mission School District

New Business of the Year: Buggies Pest Control, Mission Repair, Shortstop BP, and Twisted Sisters Coffee Shop

Small Business of the Year: The Barn Players, Coffee News of Northeast Johnson County, and Speedpro Imaging

Volunteer of the Year: Tim Frenzel, Johnson County Community College; Jose Ramirez, Moss Printing; and Adam Terrill, American Family Insurance – Paul Ridgway Agency
