St. Ann kicks off Hispanic Heritage Month with mariachi performance

St. Ann Catholic School students got a festive kick off to Hispanic Heritage Month Monday with a live performance by “The 3 Amigos” mariachi band. The band played classics like Ceilito Lindo and La Bamba as students entered the school. Spanish teacher Stephanie Boyles said her classes would be focusing on Hispanic history topics throughout Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs Sept. 15-Oct. 15.
