The Mission Police Department hosted an open house Saturday for the community. The offerings included food, a bounce area for the kids, a showcase of police vehicles and tours of the department.

Visitors could see the holding cells, evidence room and kids had the chance to get fingerprinted. Officers said a steady stream of residents took advantage of the open house to walk through the department Saturday afternoon.

Zane Laing, 7, got his fingerprints taken by Officer Mike Palmieri.
