Food on Friday: A taste of Paris in Prairie Village

We have a love affair with crepes here at headquarters, and we always have. From eating them on the streets near the Seine, to making them for breakfast on cold winter mornings, there is nothing not to like about a crepe.

So you can bet we were eager to head over to the French Market on Saturday to be some of the first to enjoy their new attraction – fresh crepes made to order.

We biked to the Village shops, saddled up, and ordered one sweet (Caramel) and one savory (La Complete, with ham, eggs and cheese). It made me happy. But also sad, as I realized how much better they are than the ones I make at home. So I’m not going to even try to offer a crepe recipe this week. Just get the real deal.

We brought the menu home and Jay studied it intently – hinting at his discontent that I hadn’t ordered anything with Nutella. It was a rookie mistake, I admit. There were just too many options…
