Davis outraises Brownback in Kansas governor race, but Brownback has more cash on hand. The campaign of Democratic candidate Paul Davis reported raising $1.1 million since January, $356,000 more than that of Republican incumbent Sam Brownback during that period. But the Brownback campaign has $1 million more in cash on hand at $2.3 million than Davis, including a $500,000 loan from Lt. Gov. Jeff Colyer. Sylvester Powell summer camp serves more than 1,400. The annual summer camp at Mission’s Sylvester Powell Community Center is coming to an end this week with more than 1,400 youth attending over the past eight weeks. The summer camp runs Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and serves children ages five to 14.

The swinging polls: newest shows Brownback ahead. First it’s Davis ahead and now it’s Brownback leading. Two polls only three days apart showing widely different results. On July 24 it was Democrat Paul Davis ahead in the Kansas governor’s race by eight points. Now a new poll from a different organization shows Brownback up by 10 points.
