Prairie Villagers turn traffic island into mini community garden


From our “Adorable Uses for Traffic Islands” desk comes this story about a lovely person (or lovely persons) who have transformed the triangle at 73rd Street and Village Drive into a miniature community garden with herbs free for the taking.

In addition to the thyme and basil shown above, there are a couple of pepper plants. Some mint and parsley are growing on the other side of the statuary:
