Country Club of Leawood on Friday proved that it’s still the dominant force in the Country Club Swim Association of Kansas City.

Country Club of Leawood took its second CCSAKC title in a row, beating Indian Hills Country Club, its most significant challenger of late, by 240.5 team points. Country Club of Leawood won the title every year from 1987 to 2010 before finally being knocked off the top of the podium by Indian Hills in 2011. Indian Hills repeated as champs in 2012, but fell just short of a three-peat in 2013 as Country Club of Leawood retook the title.

Kansas City Country Club finished third in this year’s championships. Carriage Club took seventh, Mission Hills took eighth and host club Milburn took ninth.

This year’s championships featured several record-breaking performances. They included Cailey Grunhard of Indian Hills setting a new record in both 15 and Over Girls 50 free and 50 back; Maeve Linscott of Indian Hills setting a new record in the 9-10 Girls 50 breast; and Rilye Fries of Kansas City Country Club setting a new record in the 15 and Over Girls fly.
