Mission Artwalk set for 5-9 p.m. tonight. Mission’s Artwalk returns for its second event of the summer this evening. Starting at 5 p.m., Dearborn from Martway to Johnson Drive will be blocked off to allow artisans, food vendors and entertainers to set up shop. Parking will be available at the Sylvester Powell Jr. Community Center’s overflow lot at the northeast corner of Beverly and Martway and in the parking lot north of the community center. (Artwalk attendees should not park in the community center’s main parking lot).

Barn Players to hold fundraising show. The Barn Players, the community theatre on Martway in Mission, will hold a fundraising show on Aug. 15, 16 and 17. The musical “Closer Than Ever” will be the benefit performance. Saturday night’s show will be preceded by a buffet, wine bar and silent auction.
