The controversial bill that passed the Kansas House of Representatives last week on a 72-49 vote continues to draw national attention this week — and a brief on the story from TIME magazine features a take from Mission Hills and Prairie Village Rep. Barbara Bollier.
The bill, which would allow business owners to refuse wedding-oriented services to homosexual couples on the basis that their deeply held religious beliefs forbid them from doing so, has become a rallying point for proponents of gay rights across the state — and the country.
