Ladies and gentlemen: SM East has a new free throw champion.

Senior Colin Burns shocked the world Sunday when he bested the previously unthinkable high mark of 301 set by then-freshman Davis Morrison in 2013, draining 302 shots from the charity stripe over the course of 20 minutes. Take a bow, Colin.

It’s not like Morrison is a slouch, though, having netted a second-best 271 shots in his sophomore effort.

On the girls side, junior Nick Hannah led the field with 263 shots. Top finishers are listed below:

Overall Girl winner: Nick Hannah, 263
Overall Boy winner: Colin Burns, 302

Senior Girl: Erin McGinley, 241
Senior Boy: Colin Burns, 302

Junior Girl: Hannah Nick, 263
Junior Boy: Jack Flint, 260

Sophomore Girl: Alison Sernett, 194
Sophomore Boy: Davis Morrison, 271

Freshman Girl: Kyle Haverty, 211
Freshman Boy: Zeb Vermillion, 226

The event, during which participants get sponsors to pledge a donation to the for every free throw they sink, raises money for the boys and girls basketball teams.

Davis Morrison put in a laudable effort, draining 271 shots, but couldn't retain the free throw crown.
