Last weekend’s snowfall again brought to the fore an issue that has sparked ample debate here in the past: Whether the city should step up enforcement of its ordinance requiring homeowners to shovel the sidewalks that run in front of their homes within 24 hours of a snowstorm.
During the heavy snowfalls that hit the area early this year, the Prairie Village city council debated whether to step up enforcement of its snow-clearing codes or make it easier to fine homeowners who fail to comply.
What do you think? How big a problem is this issue in Prairie Village? The rest of northeast Johnson County? What do you think should be done to address it?
