Northeast Johnson County natives inducted into Phi Kappa Phi

Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s first collegiate honor society, announced its latest group of inductees earlier this month, including the following northeast Johnson County natives:

  • Micah Melia of Prairie Village (University of Kansas)
  • Kathleen White of Prairie Village (University of Kansas)
  • Ann Hartman of Prairie Village (Kansas State University)
  • Emily Covington of Prairie Village (University of Kansas)
  • Jenny Hermes of Prairie Village (University of Kansas)
  • Patricia Daly of Mission Hills initiated (University of Kansas)
  • Hannah Jenkins of Mission initiated (University of Kansas)
  • Tara Cooper of Prairie Village (University of Kansas)

Membership to Phi Kappa Phi is by invitation, and is open among undergraduates to only to the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors. The society has chapters on more than 300 college and university campuses. Approximately 32,000 new members are inducted each year.
