There was a surprise this morning in northeast Johnson County, but it was most certainly not an early Christmas gift.
A semi-trailer stocked with Budweiser products overturned on Roe Avenue in Prairie Village, coming to rest in a front yard on the east side of the intersection of Roe and 78th Street.
Police crews blocked off Roe from 75th Street to 79th Street to allow a tow truck to come in and clear the area. The road was still blocked and the truck was still in place as of 7:45 a.m.
Police say the cause of the accident is still unknown. The trailer overturned at approximately 4:30. The driver was injured and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, but his injuries are not considered serious.
