Good morning, northeast Johnson County!
What? What’s that you say? Have we lost weight? Well…no. But something’s different, you say?
Indeed, it is!
You may notice that the ol’ Prairie Village Post has a slightly different look this a.m. Well sir, we’re excited to launch a minor redesign that we hope will make the site a bit more user friendly.
We’ve tried to declutter things, making it easier for you, our loyal readers, to scan stories…and ads.
(Have we mentioned that we couldn’t keep the site going without the committed local businesses who advertise here? Well. We couldn’t. So we encourage you to patronize them. Like, daily).
The redesign also gives us the opportunity to roll out a few new and/or improved features. Including:
- The events calendar. Not only is the events calendar back and fully operational, we’ve added the ability for readers to submit their own events. (Note our calendar submission policy — and then submit away!)
- Daily Digest email newsletter. We’ve had people requesting this pretty much since the day we launched. And, at long last, here it is. Register and you’ll get the past day’s worth of stories sent to your inbox each day after noon.
For a bit of context, we thought it might be fun to take a trip down PVPost design memory lane — take a look at the screenshots below to see the iteration of the site’s look and feel over the years:
So…what do you think? We’d love to hear your thoughts — and would be happy to answer any questions about where things might have moved. Drop us a line in the comments section, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hope you like it!
