You can now add Prairie Village to the list of northeast Johnson County cities that have seen sink holes open up in the past few months.
A sizable hole appeared early Wednesday morning after a broken eight-inch main started spewing water near the intersection of 82nd Street and Roe Avenue. Crews working to repair the break have closed off 82nd Street from Roe to Granada — but Roe is open to traffic.
The main break has affected water service for more than half a dozen homes in the neighborhood. Mandy Crawby of WaterOne said she anticipated crews would have service restored by mid-morning.
