A case involving a burglary and rape in Fairway in July 2012 culminated Friday with a sentence of more than 25 years for the crimes.
Jimmy D. Crocker had been convicted by a jury in early August on charges of rape and aggravated burglary. Crocker 54, was accused of raping a Fairway woman for whom he had done handyman work.
District Court Judge James Franklin Davis sentenced Crocker to the maximum consecutive sentence of 301 months in prison, according to an announcement from Johnson County District Attorney Steve Howe.
