Shawnee Mission East’s Performing Arts Department is set to lift the curtain on a new year of performances when this year’s Musical Revue hits the stage for the first night of a three-night run tonight.

Shows will start at 7 p.m. Sept. 17-19 with tickets costing $7 at the SM East auditorium door.

This year’s review has a theme of “Singers and Songwriters.”

The department will also be hosting a “College Prep Series” session in the Dan Zollars Auditorium at 5:30 p.m. prior to the Sept. 18 Musical Revue performance. This session is part of an information series designed for aspiring college theatre majors and their parents. It is free and open to the public.
