The latest addition to northeast Johnson County’s blossoming Little Free Library network is a true work of art.

Prairie Village resident Heather Eblen-Calvert commissioned its construction in recognition of her 40th birthday, and her brother and father were happy to put their handymen skills to work.

The LFL’s casing comes in the form of a miniature beach house, with space for a real bird house in the “attic.” It also has a water bowl for passing pups attached to the base.
