Even wonder what might be in you water…other than water?

This year’s Community Forum on Kansas Environmental Issues, to be held Thursday, Oct. 3, at Village Presbyterian Church, will explore that issue with the help of Dr. Michael Meyer, a research geochemist at the U.S. Geological Survey. Meyer’s talk will focus on the pharmaceutical and personal care product chemical residue that makes its way into Kansas surface water.

As in years past, the event also includes a dinner catered by Blue Bird Bistro, which uses locally grown produce.

Advance reservations are required with a reservation deadline of Oct. 1. A $20 donation gets participants access to dinner as well as the program. A program-only ticket is $10 for adults, $5 for students.
