It’s been a heady few days for the Mission Valley Neighbors Association, whose efforts to halt the 352,000 square foot Mission Chateau senior living development were successful last week.

Now comes time to pay the bills.

The group is organizing a fundraising cocktail party to help offset the costs incurred fighting the Tutera Group’s proposal, including legal fees for attorney John Duggan and printing costs for the omnipresent “No massive development” signage.

Organizers are requesting a $100 minimum donation for each person who attends the event, which is scheduled for late September.
