It doesn’t feel like the dog days of August, but it was a day for the dogs at the Mission pool this week.

Humans had their pool party farewell Sunday, but dogs got the last laugh – and lap – before the pool closed for construction of the new aquatic center. Some dogs at the special event displayed better pool manners than others, reinforcing why their day comes right before the pool is drained. But a great time was had by all attendees.

The new aquatic center is expected to be open in time for the 2014 summer season.
