The attorney for Catrina Engle, the Overland Park woman who was found guilty on Thursday of disorderly conduct and interfering with a police officer after a March incident at the Mission Post Office, has filed an appeal in county district court and is seeking a jury trial.

Engle’s husband David, who posted the YouTube video showing Catrina’s arrest, confirmed Monday that the appeal has officially been filed. Since Catrina’s conviction Thursday, the video has been made private, and David says the couple has decided not to do any further interviews with the media.

Engle is represented by Olathe attorney Scott Toth.
