2 men break into Roeland Park home, tie up resident at gunpoint

Roeland Park police this afternoon are searching for two men suspected in a home invasion in the 5200 block of 50th Terrace between Roe Avenue and Nall Avenue.

The incident occurred approximately 20 minutes before noon, with the assailants entering a rental home and tying up the adult male who resided there at gunpoint using an electrical cord. The man’s two young children were inside the home at the time of the robbery as well.

Police describe the suspects and black males in the 20s. One was approximately 5’10” tall, 200 pounds, and was wearing jeans and a red and white shirt. He had a short beard and closely cut hair. The other was approximately 6’1″ and thin.

One of the suspects stole the resident’s white 2006 Range Rover and drove away in it, while the other escaped in a gray Chrysler Pacifica.
