A construction glitch that caused some outages in AT&T service in downtown Mission has been cleared up and service is back to normal this morning, according to the city.
A service line was inadvertently snagged by equipment working to install new street light infrastructure on Martway, Mission project manager Justin Pregont said. Late Wednesday, AT&T crews were working to repair the damage and were expected to complete it late last night.
Pregont reported this morning that the problem has been fixed and service restored. The city began receiving calls Wednesday morning about isolated outages at various locations in downtown Mission. The reports came from properties near street work under way on Martway and utility work on Johnson Drive.
Martway is in the process of a major upgrade extending on both sides of Lamar. Utility crews have parts of Johnson Drive dug up west of Nall preparing for next summer’s rebuild of the street.
