Looking for a good place to work? If you are interested in academia, Johnson County Community College may be the place to check out. For the fifth year in a row, JCCC has been named one of the best colleges to work for in a survey conducted by The Chronicle of Higher Education.
JCCC was recognized in the category of facilities, workspaces and security. The results are based on a survey of more than 44,680 employees at 300 colleges and universities. A total of 97 institutions received the “Great College to Work For” designation. More about the award can be found here.
The college had this to add:
“We appreciate that our faculty and staff see the college as a great place to work,” said Joe Sopcich, JCCC president. “That helps our students see JCCC as a great place to learn.”
“The survey results are based on a two-part assessment process: an institutional audit that captured demographics and workplace policies and practices from each institution and a survey administered to faculty, administrators and professional support staff. The primary factor in deciding whether an institution received recognition was employee feedback.”
